ABOUT SPA AND ARDENNES

The town of Spa and the Spa-Francorchamps circuit are located in the highest region of Belgium in the Ardennes mountains. Don’t expect any snow-capped mountain peaks, though. You’ll have to drive to F1 Austria at the Red Bull Ring for that. Just a few kilometres from the F1 circuit, Belgium’s highest point, the Signal de Botrange, lies just 694 metres above sea level.

The area around the circuit is perfect for hiking and mountain biking. And not only in Hautes Fagnes. It’s only a short drive to the more famous Eifel mountains, where the Nürburgring is located, and to the Ardennes Nature Park, which, in addition to its natural beauty, attracts visitors to the remains of a famous World War II battle. By car, it is relatively close to many of Europe’s historic capitals and the picturesque Rhineland.
